Demon 140cc Oil Cooled 3rd Generation

The brand new Demon DX140 3rd gen model has recently been upgraded to even better spec than before.

Useful Information:
It is very important that if you are considering a pit bike that you investigate all the pro's and con's.

The frame is the first thing to look at.
The Demon bikes use a twin spa, chromolly frame which is stronger and lighter than the stock steel ones.
It also uses a "cradle" cage which supports the engine from underneath.
The foot pegs are attached to the frame and not the engine !!
The normal single tube bikes are prone to snapping and even splitting the engines with the force of you standing on them.
These new 3rd Generation bikes now come with an Alloy swinging arm and reinforced bushings.

Second is the suspension.
The Demon DX range comes fitted with an adjustable rear shock fitted with a 1000lb rated spring.
This will support most adult riders easily and gives very good damping in normal off road conditions.
Most pit bikes have substandard units fitted to try and save on cost, not so with the Demon bikes.
They also use an Upside Down (usd) front fork with spring/oil damping, these are not adjustable but are very good at their job.

Third is the engine.
The power plant in the Demon range of bikes is the YX Motorsports engine.
This engine is the most powerful and reliable "stock" engine available in it's class.
The gearbox is now a 4 up system which makes for quicker gear changes and no more false neutrals.
They have also used a Molkt carburetor which has been proven to deliver the fuel at the rate needed.
YX Motorsports have chosen to fit top quality bearings in it's motor to improve on the durability.
The oil cooler is a CNC radiator connected to the engine head providing much needed cooling.

Fourth, power delivery.
The power is put to the ground via the rear 12" SDG wheel which is fitted with offroad motocross tyres.
The SDG wheel offers a far better build and construction than the normal wheels.
Thicker hubs, heavier gauge spokes, more spokes all add up to a winning combination.
A top quality KMC chain is used to try and combat the chain stretch that the average bikes get.
The chain runs over a new plastic metal chain guide which reduces friction and stops wear to the swing arm.
